AIGA Get Out the Vote: Empowering the Women’s Vote
Submitted By: Meaghan Dee
AIGA Chapter: Asheville
Artist Statement: Using letraset, I created typographic imagery, which can both be viewed as an image or read as text. I used multiple typefaces (and languages) to represent an array of female voices. Being the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage, I wanted to emphasize the female form for my piece. Additionally, with all the difficulties of 2020 (the pandemic, economic crisis), I had a bit of fun with the anatomy in relation to the year.
