AIGA Get Out the Vote: Empowering the Women’s Vote
Submitted By: Micah Vetter
AIGA Chapter: Raleigh
Artist Statement: Inspiration for this piece was derived from the beginning of the preamble to the U.S. constitution which reads "We the people". By changing the phrase to "We the women" this piece prompts women of all kinds to be faced directly with their value in this country. Visually, it was important that figures of all backgrounds were portrayed within one shape to showcase the unity and empowerment that happens when women in America take ownership over their right to vote.
