AIGA Get Out the Vote: Empowering the Women’s Vote
Submitted By: Emily Coats
AIGA Chapter: Portland
Artist Statement: I was six years old when my mom first took me with her to vote in a presidential election. And even now, as I think about voting this fall, the excitement of that experience comes back to me. Lately, it seems so tempting to cast a ballot with fear or anger or disgust, but I’ve been reflecting on what it means to vote out of a place of hope. We get to make hisotry. How will you bring a spirit of hope to this election season?
