AIGA Get Out the Vote: Empowering the Women’s Vote
Submitted By: Anne M. Giangiulio
AIGA Chapter: AIGA Member-at-Large
Artist Statement: Poster celebrating the centennial of the ratification of the 19th amendment giving women the right to vote—When Tennessee became the 36th state to ratify the amendment on August 18, 1920, the amendment passed its final hurdle of obtaining the agreement of three-fourths of the states. Good on Tennessee. This shows the power of policy to create true equality and empowerment for all. There is so much more that needs to be done by our government in this respect.
