AIGA Get Out the Vote: Empowering the Women’s Vote
Submitted By: Jenny El-Shamy

Artist Statement: My design celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment to the U.S. constitution which granted American women the right to vote. Officially enacted on August 26, 1920, the amendment was the culmination of a longstanding movement for women's suffrage led by pioneers such as Susan B. Anthony and Alice Paul. My poster pays homage to visionary women, both historic and contemporary, by featuring their words of wisdom.
