AIGA Get Out the Vote: Empowering the Women’s Vote
Submitted By: Kelly Salchow MacArthur
AIGA Chapter: Detroit
Artist Statement: Even in 2020, there are many ways that women are not considered, treated, or respected as equal to men in our society. This poster uses 100 = signs to represent each year since the ratification of the 19th Amendment. It was the beginning of a long journey towards equality that continues today.
Election day gives each citizen a voice, and an opportunity to be considered equal.
