Artist Statement: As the years go on, it seems like the United States forgets one of its core foundations of its being: the beauty of its diversity. So many stories and cultures and heritages all come together in this country; the melting pot of the western world. We learn so much from others which we then pass on to the younger generations that follow. Amongst racial inequality and prejudice, there can instead be new experiences, new education, and new beginnings that would better our future. It is important for each and every one of us, no matter our creed, to feel like we are essential in the workings of our state and federal government, that no matter what trials and tribulations, at the end of the day, we matter. Our voices matter.
