Artist Statement: Given the pandemic this year, I wanted to emphasize the different ways to vote - by mailing in, dropping off a ballot, or voting in person. I created a unique symbol for each of these forms of voting using Illustrator.
The typeface is one of my own creation, called No Reason. The texture in the type is a photograph I took of watercolor paper. The symbols have a photo of a watercolor painting I made to add texture to them, and the background is a painted wall I photographed and changed the color to aqua.
